Some people seem to have found themselves well, others have been offered accommodation that is not up to par and certainly not in the period they had in mind. In short, does it make sense to use the Unsold.com site? Is this a scam or is it a trustworthy site?
We have not tried it yet but we have collected the most meaningful reviews we have found on the net. You can read all the reviews on Trustpilot (my advice is to read the negative reviews up to 3-4 stars, so you can read the opinions of people who have really tried it).

“I played the secret hotel game and paid for a 5 star hotel in Cannes, France and upon purchase was assigned a 4 star hotel. ( both the hotel itself and the Cannes tourist office listed the hotel I was assigned as 4 star) At the time of purchase there was the option of a 4 star hotel at a much lower cost but I chose the 5 star.
I hate to feel tricked so I contacted customer service, the answer was for me to send a screen shot proving that the hotel was 4 star ( I have done this) but the solution they offer is to cancel the booking if I can prove that it is 4 star, they do not offer a 5 star hotel option Just a waste of time and energy for a bait and switch game..”

“My family and I just returned back from Boston. We choose the Hyatt as was on the harbor. We did have to choose midweek however we are teachers so was not an issue. We love history so the location next to Freedom trail and Fanueil Hall/Quincy market was ideal for us – Covid masks and all.
We waited a few weeks before we set our actual travel dates and I did notice once when we finally did select our travel dates the system does remind you the reservation is nonchangeable so I think the criticism above is a little harsh considering it seems they are not at fault over the timing of your moving and house closing. I would use them again and recommend them.”
My advice is therefore, if you are interested in a trip, to contact the structure and ask if it actually collaborates with Unsold.com and in what way.
